Firle
There is much to see in this East Sussex village, from Firle Place (open June – September), which has a walled garden, herb garden, many master paintings plus tea rooms. It also has a 12th century church, a pub that opens for breakfast and a delightful high street. Walk the footpaths surrounding the village and you may just spot Firle Tower, a nineteenth century folly, standing proud but alone in a field.
Parking: BN8 6NY (on street)
