East Marden

If you fancy a trip back in time, visit the Mardens. Famed for its thatched water pump and for the libertarian school opened by philosopher Bertrand Russell, East Marden is a beautiful little village, but don’t miss out on the other Mardens! Both North Marden and Up Marden have isolated churches standing in farmyards just waiting to be explored.

Parking: Look for a space on the road near the entrance to St Peter’s Church, PO18 9JE.
