Arundel

This beautiful old market town has more than enough to keep a visitor amused for a full day. The castle itself is worth the trip alone, though not cheap, and there is also the Arundel Wetland Centre just next door. But if you spend a day walking round the town you’ll see the gorgeously gothic cathedral, plenty of art galleries, antique markets, cafes, pubs, wine bars and restaurants, and all with the Downs on the doorstep. Walk along the river Arun, and don’t forget to go in search of the Hiorne Tower!
